I suppose that is a relief. You're the one who'll be doing all the convincing with the Avengers.

I'm very convincing. And Banner will help.

Banner can't even manage a working relationship with his inner beast.

He says he's more useful than the Hulk, and I think he may well be for what we need.

[ At the time he needed the Hulk for the obvious reason. He doesn't need the Hulk for settling on the planet. ]

It's very unlikely he'll be making killer robots with us.

I believe killer robots is slightly above mistakes.

It wasn't intentional. At least not on his part. The robot did sound very much like Stark, so perhaps it was for him.

I'm not sure how you can unintentionally make a killer robot.

Oh, well, it was something they call artificial intelligence, a machine with its own mind, and the machine took Stark's robot armor bodies for itself.

[ Thor doesn't know that he understands the details. ]

But then I helped them make a good robot. It could lift the hammer.

[ loki goes cold. ]

It did what.

It was very polite, it made a cape like mine too. I think it wanted to be like me.

[ And who wouldn't???? ]

[ thanks, he hates everything about this. loki pointedly stares out the window. a machine could lift the hammer. but of course a good soulless machine would. the only criteria the hammer seems to have is against monsters anyway. ]

It'll be for a rude awakening when you return then.

Without the hammer? I doubt it will care.

[ Do robots care? Maybe. This one seemed very lifelike. ]

The Captain was taking the robot under his wing, it will surely do well there.

[ Better, to be honest, than Stark, not that he'd say that. It's rude. True, but rude. ]

No, because you're a disappointment now.

[ it's mean, but loki doesn't feel the need to retract his claws. that stupid hammer always gets under his skin. ]

[ Despite their relationship being difficult, despite the past, it's classic Thor that he still looks genuinely surprised when Loki stabs at him verbally. And seconds later that surprise turns to hurt. Which, naturally, turns to anger.]
