It prickles uncomfortably over her skin, but it's not dissuading her from standing exactly where she is, not when she knows that Thor's fighting a losing battle against the storms. Sooner or later he'll slip, and what he's building up now as he stokes those negative emotions seems likely to make things even worse in the process. He knows what he has to do, she thinks, or at least he would if he let himself see past the immediate moment, which is easier said than done. Trying to fight for control over a power that he's only just now, after hundreds of years, started to fully understand, i would have been a lot to ask of anyone, even someone like Thor.

About how letting him think that the hammer was the source of all this wasn't doing him any favors, if you ask her, that maybe this exact sort of situation could have been avoided.
