(Thor only really stops being physical when people tell him to stop or he can sense from the bond or their body language they don't like it. Otherwise he is very open with his affection, especially when concerned for one of his companions. He decides to be more direct and puts one of his big bare arms around Tony's shoulders, almost as if he can shield the man in his arms from whatever torments him.
Thor is actually glad he's not trying to meet his gaze since he's been a little uncomfortable letting people see him without the eyepatch. It's a stupid thing to be vain about, but he still is. This is far more important than finding it though.)
