A god and a warrior-king. You must be great at parties.
[ He's found those glasses and has set them out on the nearest table, and he'll go ahead and fill them up with the drink that Thor's brought, whatever it is. He doesn't often go for alcohol, he's way more likely to reach for anything that has caffeine in it these days, but he's not against at least attempting to relax every once in a while. In theory. It's easier said than done, even when he has no pressing crisis to deal with — which is so often the case these days with the Resistance — he always feels like he should be doing something.
After passing Thor one of those glasses, leaving the bottle open for as many refills as necessary, he sinks onto the bunk rather than squeezing into one of the chairs, smiling despite the sigh that's evoked at the question before venturing a sip of the drink. He's off to the side though, leaving Thor plenty of room to sit wherever he likes. Though if he's looking for a suggestion Poe would be happy to nod toward the space right beside him. ]
I'm used to intense. It's been kind of disorienting, but I think I'm getting the hang of it. [ Settling into his new place here, not worrying too much about how he compares to the history he followed, it's a work in progress. ] What about you, how long have you been here?
(Thor laughs. Modesty has never been one of his gifts, but he also doesn't see a reason to be modest when he's simply describing what he is. A warrior-king god is his identity, but he does know it can come off a little pompous.)
I do have many stories I tell at parties, yes.
(He loves parties and he loves telling stories. Sometimes he tells his glorious war stories, sometimes Thor can simply ramble on about ridiculous things that have happened to him normally due to humor. It's easy to have something to talk about with a stranger, even one who has a completely different life than his. Such as Poe, who he has had moments with but doesn't know a great deal about his life, when it comes down to it.
Thor sits next to him with his drink at the invitation, not jumping right to anything flirtatious so they can get to a comfortable place. He nods in understanding.)
When I first came here, I was confused as well. There had been a me before, so it was an adjustment, but most people here are very understanding about that.
(They would have to be since it keeps happening all of the time. Sooner or later it might be one of them to have that happen. Thor tries to think back about his time there. There are enough major events that keep happening, changing the amount of time in terms of how it feels.)
Months at this point. A very eventful series of months. We were trapped on an icy planet, had magical vines that caused an aphrodisiac state, met supernatural creatures in a suitcase, were stuck on a strange alien planet where they forced people to marry each other if they held hands, it's been odd.
(Odd, yes, but he's talking about it like it's no more strange than the rest of his life, because it isn't.)
