a true gentleman. gets a lady a drink before throwing down with her. I'm always up for a drink. and no worries, I won't spill the beans on your future exploits. tony and bucky are getting the same vague non-answers from me.
And at the (normal) bar he is shortly after. Behind it, in fact. He is still going on his adventure of trying each one there so he is sorting through the bottles and may have picked a winner. It takes a great deal to get him even a little tipsy, but he strives to find one regardless. He looks pretty close to when she first met him except with the eyepatch rather than the eye that Rocket gave him later on, so that's a timeline clue.
Thor has been away from Earth for years now so he's uncertain how many new Avengers there are or who they are. It sounds like she may be one of them. He is very fond of his Earth team and it will take no time at all for him to embrace any and all new members with an open heart. He knows enough about his future to know Loki dies (again), but he's sworn to his brother he will stop it from happening. Anything in his mind after that point doesn't matter, as he believes heart and soul he will change the timeline to save Loki. Denial or arrogance, it could be either. That being said, he hasn't been seeking out news of the future either.
He is currently wearing his own clothing, preferring that to the ordinary clothes they handed out here. Sans cape, since that really doesn't work wandering around the ship.
It's easy to smile when she spots him. Carol liked Thor, for all that he'd withdrawn after killing Thanos. She likes to think they might have been the best kind of menace on Natasha's hands had he stuck around, but she's got not room to judge his choices, and so won't - Carol's not familiar enough with everyone's history to have enough context clues one way or another. She does know he was back to form five years later, a literal mighty delight on the battlefield against thanos take two. Not much time to catch up after - the funeral, and then they'd both left to go off-world.
Carol's not needed on Earth - or at least, not in the same way she's needed elsewhere, where there are no Avengers to safeguard a planet and its people.
"Gotta say, I kinda miss the cape. It's a good look." She grins up at him as she walks over, for herself in her combat suit. "So, what are we drinking?"
Thor glances up when she enters and curiously gets a good look of her as she's walking up. She carries herself with a very similar confidence to himself. Thor tends to stride into rooms with a presence few can ignore, and there is an energy to her too. He believes her when she said she could handle him in a spar now. Thor knows power when he sees it, which only makes her more fascinating. Her smile is immediately mirrored. There is much less weight on his shoulders than the Thor she met, less grief and agony. He hasn't lived through the loss of everything he loves, or the drop in self-esteem and self-hate.
"I still have it, it's in my room. It catches on too many things when I'm walking around here." That is the problem with capes! He loves them, they're very dramatic which suits him, but there have been one or more incidents when his cape makes him appear less cool than he'd like by catching on something.
Thor pours her some of what he's having, a drink neither from Asgard or Midgard that is close to one of his favorite ales from home. A little lighter than any Asgard drink, but heavier than Midgard. "Ale of a kind. I've been testing all of them out one by one."
