[ Thor with his gregarious and loud personality, Loki with his cleverness and mystery. He's not going to point out sexual taste is a whole different thing, considering they are both handsome men, but lasting romantic feelings? Or a relationship? They're night and day. ]

[ loki doesn't look particularly soothed by this logic. to him, it doesn't make any sense to choose loki when he is marred by flaws and difficulties. but simply mentioning it always makes him look . . . well, crazy so he subsides quickly. ]

[ If they were in a positive silly conversation, Thor would have said that he's everyone's type, because he can be a smug idiot sometimes, but he knows better than to do that when Loki's actually serious. He reaches out to ruffle his hair affectionately. Annoyingly. ]

Believe it or not, brother, there are a lot of men and women who prefer other people to me. I've never had anyone leave their spouse or loved one for me. People know who they want, and he wants you.

[ He may be skirting the truth, people are drawn to him whether through attraction or just liking him as a person. He has many fan clubs. But that's not an individual thing. Lawford is a person, an individual who loves Loki. It's not the same.]

I do, and I am hopeful that having two people loving you will make it easier to accept.

[ Thor has been more than willing to constantly adore Loki as long as he needs to, his faith is strong enough for ten people when he decides to give it to someone. But Loki can always chalk that up to their childhood or to Thor being Thor. Now he has an entire other person who wants to marry him, spend his life with him. It can only mean progress. ]

Not to mention you have friends on the ship, people who will be happy for you, who will share this joy with you. It is wonderful, Loki.

[ And obviously Thor wants to do it. He wants to watch Loki marry this man and find a lasting relationship. Surrounded by his new friends. It is more than he thought his brother would get, in truth, and a pleasant surprise. But this is Thor so he can't help but grin. ]

[ loki huffs. he knew thor would bring that up eventually. ]

[ Thor is only teasing. He didn't consider it a real problem when Loki was poking at him over Jane. That's years removed from now and he is only too happy for Loki to change his mind. It didn't factor into the reality of his relationship anyway. He is enjoying prodding at Loki over it though. ]

So I think you might be, what's that word? [ Thor gestures at Loki. ] Starts with W, ends with rong.

[ loki's eyes narrow dangerously at thor. he recognizes it for the gentle teasing that it is, but thor can only take it so far until loki's hackles are raised. ]

What difference would it make? I'm already dead. Do you think me so foolish as to believe this wedding will change my fate?

[ Thor reaches out to grab Loki's hand and put it over Loki's heart, Thor's on top firmly. ]

[ Thor shoots him an amused look and pulls his hand away. They are both very theatrical in their own ways. Asgardians have a flair for the dramatic. ]

[ he exhales, shaking loose from the tension. he repeats it, soft. ]

I'm getting married.

[ Thor grins at him, ear-to-ear. He whirls and shouts out to the lake, loud and booming. ]

Loki's getting married, universe!

[ loki buries his face in his hands, just . . . wow. ]

[ Thor turns to look back at Loki and laughs, knowing he's embarrassed him and not caring even a little. That's his prerogative. He's gone through a lot of emotions in a short amount of time, from grief and acceptance of lost to joy and playfulness, but he's an emotional man. It happens. ]

Would you rather me lift and spin you again?

[ loki looks up, scandalized. ]

[ Thor keeps laughing, shaking his head. At least some things don't change. They'll always be able to annoy each other better than anyone else. ]

So what is the plan with the wedding? Should we make invitations?

[ Thor should not be allowed to make invitations. ]

We are not making invitations. I'm willing to let some people know but I'm hardly making it a huge affair.

[ this is a bold lie. loki is going to go all out for his wedding but whether people show up or not is unimportant. what is important is that lawford and loki get the wedding of their dreams. ]

Invite all your friends, they'll be glad to be there. We've all been suffering these fake marriages and engagements here, having at least one of them be real will be a nice change of pace.
